Zerodha Trader - Nest Trader Login error solved for windows 8

If you are having problem to login in windows 8. Try the below reference:

Uninstall the old version of ZT and download latest version from the below link or go to
web address :http://zerodha.com/critical-update/


We are upgrading our infrastructure to better support all our trading platforms. If you do not apply the correct INI updates to your existing Desktop ZT / NEST installations, they will stop working on Monday, 8th Dec 2014For web and mobile, updates will be automatic. You don't have to do anything.

If you are using version 3.10.97.7

Download and install the INI .97 updater

If you are using version 3.11.2

Download and install the INI 3.11 updater

or if you don't know your current version

  1. Uninstall your current ZT
  2. Download and install the latest version

Installation instructions

  1. Download the appropriate update for your ZT/ NEST version
  2. ZT needs to be closed while making the update or if you're doing a complete fresh installation
  3. Right click on the downloaded file and choose "Run as administrator", if available
  4. The update completes in a few seconds. Select YES if any questions are asked during the installation.


U need to run ZT as an adminitrator
this might help to resolve the problem
Right click on ‘ZT application’ from your desktop
Click on properties then ‘Open File location’
A folder will open where in you need to select ‘ZT exe’
Right click on it and click on properties
Select ‘Compatibility’ Tab
Select ‘Change settings for all users’
Check ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for:’
Check ‘Run this program as an administrator’
Click ‘OK’
Click ‘Apply’ and ‘OK’
